When I first read the title above, I thought it said “Guest service.” But you know, this video is so true when it comes to all of us dealing with guests. We see Mr. Cranky Pants in front of us and often times take it personal. There were times that I was just as guilty of this when I worked the front lines. So how does this relate to MCHG and our guests???? Are you cut out for this kind of role? I hope so, because that is what we are all about. Being there for our guests, even when they sometimes don’t deserve it. Our role is to take our guests from where they are and help them to get where they want to be. Happy, relaxed and appreciated.
I interpreted this video another way, too. How do I look at our leaders and associates? Do I take them from where they are and help them to be happy, relaxed and appreciated? Do I listen to an associate who just had a fire in their home? Or who has an addiction? Or a single Mom with kid problems? I hope I do, but rest assured, I will.
