All-New Rockport Hotel Opens Doors

Rockport, MA July 2, 2009—The Rockport Inn and Suites, located at 183 Main Street, Rockport, MA just opened its doors to the public. The hotel has been given official word that it can once again serve the people of Rockport. So far, visitors are overwhelmed by the positive changes.



Matt Anzivino, General Manager, explains, “With over 400 people applying for work, we were able to choose the best of the best. We are excited to take our place in the community once again. This time it will be with almost everything brand new in the hotel.” Bob Hastings, Executive Director of the Cape Ann Chamber remarks, “Our community has needed a place like this. One of this size and quality will do lots to help our fellow businesses. I have seen it and it is a great addition to Cape Ann.”



An OPEN HOUSE is planned for Saturday, July 11 from 12:00 – 4:00. The open house is for friends, neighbors and local businesses in the area. Tours will be available and the general public is welcome to visit the newest community partner in the Rockport area.



The Rockport Inn and Suites (formerly Sandy Bay Motor Inn) underwent an extensive renovation this past winter. “This was a soup to nuts, floor to ceiling rehab,” remarks Sean Riley, COO for Maine Course Hospitality Group, owner and operator of the resort. Included in the renovation was a complete rehab of the pool and sauna, tennis courts and the addition of a fitness room. All guests rooms and bathrooms are completely new including top quality bedding and 32” flat panel TV’s. The complimentary breakfast area, lobby and meeting rooms also received a facelift.
