Southern Maine company buys two Hampton Inns

A Tampa company has sold its Hampton Inns in Freeport and Waterville to a York Harbor company for $16.9 million.

GL Rogers & Co. Inc., a commercial developer of northern New England properties, bought the two hotels, which total 158 rooms, from The Vickery Co. LLC through Pendleton Point LLC, which it manages and partly owns, according to news releases from the buyer’s and the seller’s representative. Maine Course Hospitality Group, a Freeport-based company that runs 18 hotels across New England, will manage the Freeport and Waterville locations.
