Gary Woodhouse
Courtyard Portland Airport, South Portland

Gary Woodhouse enjoys interacting with the guest and assisting them in any way he is able. In his role as van driver, he is a great help to the guests and the staff here at the Courtyard in South Portland.

“Little Gary”, as his co-workers affectionately call him, decided to give the hospitality business a try after retiring as an engineer. He was actually happy to hear the hours we needed him were 3am – 10am! He has proven to be a true guest service expert and team player.

I received a call from the Wyndham one afternoon to thank me because Gary had rescued their van driver when he was stranded on the side of the road at 4am. I had no idea he had even done this! True service – helping others without even thinking it was anything out of the ordinary.

Brittany Crawford

After spending 3 years at the Muddy Rudder in Brewer, Brittany has transferred to the Muddy Rudder Yarmouth so that she may attend Culinary school in Portland.

Brittany played a key role in the Brewer kitchen, and has the capability to do the same in Yarmouth. I asked Brittany what she liked about Yarmouth, and she told me the people and that it was a little more relaxed and easy going here. What she missed about Brewer was the responsibility she left behind.

While attending college full-time , Brittany will also be working full time at The Rudder.
