MCHG Featured Associate | | Mary Bittrich Best Western The Inn At Hampton Mary Bittrich was born Mary Jean Simmons in Brighton, MA. She is the oldest of five children. She has two sons, Nicholas and Christopher, both of whom worked for several years at Best Western The Inn At Hampton. Mary loves gardening, working hard, and being a good mom, and is reputed to make a "wicked" good lasagna.
Mary has worked for the Archdiocese of Boston, the New England Medical Center, in the Sears Human Resources Department, in addition to raising her two sons. In 2004, Mary went back to college to complete her B.S. in Accounting, and replaced her son Nicholas at the front desk at the Best Western. Mary has been working the night audit on weekends since then, dealing with the hotel's busiest nights and collecting some wild stories, all while continuing to work her regular day job as a staff accountant for a non-profit human services agency.
Mary recently decided to continue furthering her education, and graduated with straight A's from Suffolk University's Center for Public Management with a Certificate in Non-Profit Administration and Finance. The course was paid for by Mary's daytime employer and involved traveling to Boston every Friday for two semesters.
Mary is a generous and caring individual and always keeps the best interest of our guests at heart. She is always willing to take on extra projects to help out at the front desk and also comes up with many new ideas of how to better our procedures and reports. The staff at the Best Western are very proud of Mary's accomplishments, and happy to have her on board!

| Community Corner | | Wayside Soup Kitchen - Portland April 16, 2008 During the regular monthly visit to the Wayside Soup Kitchen, MCHG volunteers brought some goodies along.
The soup kitchen always runs out of cups and silverware. So MCHG came to the rescue. They had also wanted colored cutting boards for sanitary purposes. Done!
For the past six months, the MCHG Corporate Office has been collecting cans and bottles for this donation in mind. Adding that money to a few private donations made this possible. Thanks to the Corporate Team and many other volunteers who go each month. The MCHG Connection at work!
Great job! |
